General Questions

- Once a team has a loss in the Winners bracket, they move to the Consolation bracket. All teams who lose a second match will be eliminated from competition.
- The final two teams in Winner’s bracket will play for Gold/Silver. The final two teams in the Consolation bracket will play for Bronze.
- Winners bracket matches are best 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2 points with side out scoring.
- Consolation bracket matches are 1 game to 15 points, win by 2 points with side out scoring.
- Medal matches are best 2 out 3 games to 11 points, win by 2 points with side out scoring.
- Some divisions may play a Round Robin format. This is the discretion of the Tournament Director.
- Round Robins will be single round robin (with matches being best 2 out of 3 games to 11 points) with final standings being determined by the following criteria: 1) most match wins, 2) head-to-head wins, 3) point differential, 4) head-to-head point differential.
- Divisions need to have a minimum of 8 teams for doubles or they may be combined with another skill/age division.

Registration Questions
- All players must have played in a qualifying 2025 Golden Ticket tournament to be eligible.
- A list of those tournaments is available at https://usapickleball.org/goldenticket/
All eligible players will receive an email with a personalized link that they MUST use to sign up for the tournament.
Golden Ticket winners register first under our Priority Registration (view registration dates). For a guaranteed place in the tournament, Golden Ticket winners and their partners MUST complete registration within this time period. Golden Ticket winners may still register during other registration tiers, but they are not guaranteed a spot if they do not register during Priority Registration.
Of course. All Silver and Bronze medal winners from qualifying events are able to register in the Tier 2 window (view official registration dates). These players will be placed onto a “waitlist” initially and then selected for their events in a randomized Lottery selection. We hope to place as many players into their events as each day’s schedule will allow.
Yes. All players who played in a qualifying Golden Ticket tournament are eligible for the 2025 National Championships.
If there is still room in the tournament after Tier 2 Registrations, we will open registration to all qualified players in the Tier 3 Registration window and use a Lottery selection process (view official registration dates).
As a Golden Ticket winner, you can select any player who is qualified to play as your partner. This means any player who has played in a 2025 Golden Ticket tournament and meets the requirements for the division you wish to play. Remember, players can play up in skill and down in age. Be sure to list your partner during your Priority Registration sign up, that way if they are not also a Golden Ticket winner, you can “invite” your partner to register before the next registration Tier starts. Your partner must also sign up and complete payment during the Priority Registration period for your team to make sure they get their spot before the Tier 2 registration period.
Not during the Priority Registration or Tier 2 period, players can only sign up for the event that they won their medal in. For example, if you won a Golden Ticket in Mixed Doubles and Singles and a Bronze in gender doubles, you may register for only Mixed Doubles and Singles during your Priority Registration period. You would be eligible to sign up for your gender doubles during the Tier 2 registration period (view official registration dates). If you are signing up during Tier 3, you may sign up for any event that you meet skill/age requirements for and has capacity to accept new registrations.
Players who are eligible will receive an emailed invitation prior to each Tier of registration opening. They need to use the link provided in the invitation to register for the 2025 USA Pickleball National Championships. Click here to view official registration dates.
All players who played in a 70+ (or higher) age division at a Golden Ticket tournament are considered a Golden Ticket winner for the events that you played in at 70+ or higher. Example: You are 74 years old and played in a 70-74 Mixed Doubles division. Congratulations! You are eligible to register in the Priority Registration Golden Ticket group for Mixed Doubles. If you are 70+ years of age and played in an age group younger than 70+ and did not win a gold medal, you are not eligible to sign up during Priority Registration, but are eligible for Tier 2 or 3.
No. Players are not allowed to play in more than one event per day.
During Priority Registration and Tier 2 players may only register for events (Doubles/Singles) that they won their medal in or were invited by a partner to play in. You will be allowed to sign up for the skill/age division that they are at the time of registration. We will be using the player’s UTR-P at the time they register. Players are welcome to play in a higher skill level or a younger age group. Your chosen partner must meet the critreria of the division that you have chosen to compete. If Tier 3 registration opens, qualified players will be allowed to sign up for any event they wish to compete in. Skill and age criteria will still be what they players UTR-P and age are at the time of sign up.
