Play Format
- Events will be Double Elimination with Consolation bracket and no return to Winner’s Bracket.
- Once a team has a loss in the Winners bracket, they move to the Consolation bracket. All teams who lose a second match will be eliminated from competition. The final two teams in Winner’s bracket will play for Gold/Silver. The final two teams in the Consolation bracket will play for Bronze.
- Winners bracket matches are best 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2 points with side out scoring.
- Consolation bracket matches are 1 game to 15 points, win by 2 points with side out scoring.
- Medal matches are best 2 out 3 games to 11 points, win by 2 points with side out scoring.
- Some divisions may play a Round Robin format. This is the discretion of the Tournament Director.
- Round Robins will be single round robin (with matches being best 2 out of 3 games to 11 points) with final standings being determined by the following criteria:
- most match wins
- head-to-head wins
- point differential
- head-to-head point differential
Brackets
- Divisions need to have a minimum of 8 teams for doubles or they may be combined with another skill/age division.
- Events for Age Groups 65 and older will be combined by age first.
- Example:
- Mixed Doubles 3.0 (65-69) has 3 teams
- Mixed Doubles 3.5 (65-69) has 1 team and Mixed Doubles 4.0 (65-69) has 4 teams.
- The combined bracket would be Mixed Doubles 3.0/3.5/4.0 (65-69) with 8 teams.
- Example:
- Events for Age Groups under 65 will be combined by Skill Level First.
- Example:
- Men’s Doubles 4.0 (30-39) has 4 teams
- Men’s Doubles 4.0 (40-49) has 5 teams, we would combine the two age groups at the same skill level to be a combined division of Men’s Doubles 4.0 (30-39, 40-49) with 9 teams.
- Example:
